Dental Hygienists

Jill | Dental Hygienist | Berkshire Dental

Jill

Jill was raised in Spencer, Iowa where, in her first job as a dental assistant, she discovered her love of the dental field. She attended Des Moines Area Community College and immediately became the first dental hygienist hired by our young practice in 1990.

Jill feels fortunate to be working in the same practice for many years as she’s watched families grow, children complete their education, careers launch, and retirements begin.

Karen | Dental Hygienist | Berkshire Dental

Karen

Karen has been at Berkshire since 2003. She is a graduate of University of Iowa and enjoys her relationships with her patients. Promoting optimal preventive health to her patients is her goal. On her day off, you can find Karen at Des Moines Area Community College, where she has been an adjunct dental hygiene instructor for over 15 years. Karen enjoys the outdoors—especially cycling and hiking. Spending time with her husband and her son and daughter makes her happy!

Jeni | Dental Hygienist | Berkshire Dental

Jeni

Jeni joined us in 2009 after completing her education at Des Moines Area Community College. She has two sons who keep her extremely busy. Along with being a mom, Jeni is involved in anything active, healthy and outdoors. Her approach to dental hygiene education is refreshing, and our patient care is enhanced with her contributions.

Julie | Dental Hygienist | Berkshire Dental

Julie

Julie graduated from DMACC in Dental Hygiene in 1990 and couldn't see herself doing anything else. She is married and has three children. She enjoys cheering on her kids, who are involved in cross-country, football, basketball and baseball. She also likes spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. She loves being part of the experienced Berkshire dental team and continues to give patients the best care possible.

Lydia | Dental Hygienist | Berkshire Dental

Lydia

Lydia grew up in Oskaloosa and now resides in Ankeny with her husband and two boys. She graduated from Hawkeye Community College, where she received her Registered Dental Hygienist degree in 2007. Lydia finds it rewarding to see people who usually fear dental appointments be relaxed in her care. She feels blessed watching families grow over the years. When not in the office, Lydia enjoys making memories with family and friends, scrapbooking, reading, and cheering on UNI men's basketball.

Emily

Emily graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2021 and worked in Sioux Falls for several years after graduation. She is happy to be back in her home state and is looking forward to sharing her passion for oral hygiene with her patients. In her free time, Emily likes to read, stay active, shop for antiques, and spend time with her family and friends. Emily also enjoys concerts and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
